HAN-TEK Builds a Hot Metal Ladle Crane

HAN-TEK has manufactured many cranes for the metals industry and recently completed a hot metal ladle crane. The crane has a designed capacity of 28-tons, and is equipped with a sheave-pin mounted load cell and digital score board readout for ladle size recording. To allow for precise positioning, all of the crane motions are controlled through adjustable frequency drives. Full-length platforms on both the G1 and G2 girder allow for easy routine hoist and crane maintenance and inspection.
