JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Education/Training Requirements:

 

·         Prefer AAS in Accounting or High School with 3+ years experience.

·         Microsoft Office, Outlook, Vista experience.

 

Skills:

 

·         Perform clerical and payroll functions as directed by Controller.

·         Must be able to correspond and interact with employees in a professional manner.

·         Detail oriented.

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

Duties:

 

·         Run payroll audit reports daily; check hours and job sequence #’s for accuracy.

·         Enter daily timesheets for service technicians and off-site personnel.

·         Enter weekly timesheets for managers on Monday.

·         On Monday, transfer total hours from audit sheets to payroll spreadsheet.  Input hours into payroll software, match totals and transmit to payroll company.

·         When payroll checks are received at Han-Tek, mail off-site personnel checks and agency checks.  Receive payroll.

·         Distribute payroll checks to employees each Thursday.

·         Print commission information from closing logs at the end of each month.  Under direction of Controller, run commission reports and distribute to salesmen.

·         Track prevailing wage jobs, pay prevailing wage rates and run certified payroll reports as needed.

·         Input new employees, maintain employee information in payroll system; update wage rates into payroll system and accounting system as needed.

·         At year-end, input new benefit accrual time for employees.

·         Relieves receptionist (along with others) for breaks, lunches, and days off.

 

General:

 

 

·         Reports directly to the Controller.
